Czechoslovakia<\/strong><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>\u201cAlways love the Other.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><p class=\"Ebody\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left\">Two years after Micah, his brother Dan was born. In 1939, when Micah was in grade 2, he was thrown out of the school for being a Jew, and his family had to leave Brno and move to the village of Bosonohy.<\/p><p class=\"Ebody\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left\">When Micah was nine, his parents were arrested for underground activity. Micah, who aged ten years in a few minutes, took his small brother to the house of the priest, who was with his father in the underground, and they were hidden in the church. When the immediate danger had passed, the priest made contact with his uncles, who took in Micah and Dan. About six months later the mother was released and collected the children. They lived in an apartment with some other Jewish families until March 1942, when they were sent to the Theresienstadt ghetto. Micah was sent to the Q609 children\u2019s house, while his little brother remained with their mother.<\/p><p class=\"Ebody\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left\">The family survived in the ghetto until it was liberated by the Red Army. After the war the family returned to Brno, and in 1949 immigrated to Israel. His mother Franciska, who was a famous photographer in Brno, opened a photography studio in Jerusalem, where she died in 1994.<\/p><p class=\"Ebody\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left\">Micah worked for the Broadcasting Authority as a sound technician for forty years until he retired, and today he lives with his wife Daniella in Jerusalem. Micah and Daniella have 3 children, 9 grandchildren and a
