שנתיים לאחר הולדת מיכה נולד אחיו, דן. בשנת 1939, כשמיכה היה בכיתה ב, הוא סולק מבית הספר בשל יהדותו, ומשפחתו נאלצה לעזוב את ברנו ולעבור לכפר בוסו-נוהי.
כשמיכה היה בן תשע נעצרו הוריו בשל פעילות מחתרתית. מיכה, שתוך דקות התבגר בעשור, לקח את אחיו הקטן לביתו של הכומר, שהיה שותפו של אביו בפעילות המחתרת, שם הם הוסתרו בכנסייה. כשהסכנה המיידית חלפה יצר הכומר קשר עם הדודים, והם לקחו את מיכה ודן אליהם. לאחר כחצי שנה שוחררה האם ואספה את הילדים לחיקה. הם התגוררו בדירה עם כמה משפחות יהודיות נוספות, עד למרץ 1942, ואחר כך נשלחו לגטו טרזינשטט. מיכה נשלח למעון הילדים Q609, ואילו אחיו נשאר עם אימו בשל גילו הצעיר.
המשפחה שרדה בגטו עד לשחרורו על ידי הצבא האדום. בסוף המלחמה חזרו בני המשפחה לברנו, ובשנת 1949 עלו לישראל. אימו פרנציסקה, שהייתה צלמת מפורסמת בברנו, פתחה בירושלים סטודיו לצילום, היא נפטרה בירושלים בשנת 1994.
מיכה עבד ברשות השידור כטכנאי קול במשך ארבעים שנה עד לפרישתו לגמלאות, וכיום הוא גר עם רעייתו דניאלה בירושלים. למיכה ודניאלה 3 ילדים, 9 נכדים ונכדות ונינה.

Two years after Micah, his brother Dan was born. In 1939, when Micah was in grade 2, he was thrown out of the school for being a Jew, and his family had to leave Brno and move to the village of Bosonohy.
When Micah was nine, his parents were arrested for underground activity. Micah, who aged ten years in a few minutes, took his small brother to the house of the priest, who was with his father in the underground, and they were hidden in the church. When the immediate danger had passed, the priest made contact with his uncles, who took in Micah and Dan. About six months later the mother was released and collected the children. They lived in an apartment with some other Jewish families until March 1942, when they were sent to the Theresienstadt ghetto. Micah was sent to the Q609 children’s house, while his little brother remained with their mother.
The family survived in the ghetto until it was liberated by the Red Army. After the war the family returned to Brno, and in 1949 immigrated to Israel. His mother Franciska, who was a famous photographer in Brno, opened a photography studio in Jerusalem, where she died in 1994.
Micah worked for the Broadcasting Authority as a sound technician for forty years until he retired, and today he lives with his wife Daniella in Jerusalem. Micah and Daniella have 3 children, 9 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
