"ללא אתמול, אין מחר…".

"משפחתי גורשה לגטו מוגילב שבטרנסניסטריה. הייתי אז תינוקת, אבי עבד בעבודות כפייה, ואימי טיפלה באחי ובי. השנים הראשונות בגטו היו קשות. חיינו בתנאים של תת־תזונה ועוני, לבשתי בגדים שלא תאמו לקור העז, ולא היו לי משחקים. כמהתי לילדות רגילה ומאושרת. רק כשהייתי כבר גדולה, בכיתה י, הוריי נתנו לי כסף כדי שאקנה את הבובה הראשונה שלי. אני זוכרת שכל הדרך הביתה הסתרתי אותה מתחת למעיל, שלא יראו שאני שמסתובבת עם בובה. לימים, כשהכרתי קבוצה מדהימה שנקראת 'בובות וחלומות', שמנעימה את זמננו ומעניקה לנו חום ואהבה, סגרתי מעגל."

 “My family were sent to the Mogilev ghetto in Transnistria. I was a baby, my father was sent to do forced labor, and my mother took care of my brother and me. The first years in the ghetto were very had. We lived in conditions of malnutrition and poverty, I wore clothes that were not suitable for the bitter cold, and I had no toys. I longed for a normal, happy childhood. It was only when I was bigger, in grade 10, that my parents gave me money to buy my first doll. I remember that the whole way home I hid it under my coat, so nobody could see I had a doll. Eventually I met a wonderful group called ‘Dolls and Dreams’ which makes our time pleasant and gives us warmth and love. I’ve closed the circle.”
