80 Years After: Remembering the Past and Advocating for a Better Future

A moving commemoration marking 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz. Titled “80 Years After: Remembering the Past and Advocating for a Better Future,” the event brought together Holocaust survivors, community members, educators, and diplomatic representatives from around the world.
The evening opened with a warm reception, followed by an emotional testimony from Holocaust survivor Rena Quint. Her powerful first-hand account served as a vital reminder of the atrocities of the Holocaust and underscored the importance of preserving these stories for future generations.
A thought-provoking panel discussion followed, delving into the contemporary challenges of Holocaust remembrance and education. Panelists emphasized the critical need to sustain awareness as time distances us from these events and the number of living survivors dwindling.
This commemoration was both a solemn reflection on the past and a rallying cry for the future. It underscored the enduring significance of Holocaust education and remembrance in fostering understanding, combating prejudice, and ensuring such tragedies are never repeated.
