“Love your neighbor as yourself.”

“In 1941, the Romanian fascists, who fought alongside the German Nazis, forced the Jews to live in an open ghetto. The men were taken to forced labor, and life was very difficult. At the end of the war we wanted to immigrate to Israel but Romania, that had become Communist, would not release the Jews, so we only managed to make Aliyah in 1965. Here in Israel I met my old friend Dina. We married and started a wonderful family, that I am very proud of. We have 2 daughters and 7 terrific grandchildren.”
