במלחמת העולם השנייה היה נתן בן חמש. הוא זוכר את הפחד מהפצצות, כל יציאה מהבית לוותה בחשש. נתן סבל מהתנכלויות אנטישמיות גם לאחר המלחמה. בשנת 1951 עלה לארץ עם אימו, והם התגוררו במעברה שבירושלים. נתן עבד במשך שנים רבות באוניברסיטה העברית, הוא נשוי לשרה ולהם 4 ילדים, 9 נכדים ו-2 נינים.

In the Second World War Nathan was five years old. He remembers being afraid of the bombings and afraid whenever he left the house. Nathan also suffered antisemitic harassment after the war. In 1951 he came to Israel with his mother, and they lived in a transit camp in Jerusalem. Nathan worked for many years at the Hebrew University. He is married to Sarah, and they have 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
