Celebrating the lasting bond between the Jewish and Filipino people

At the Friends of Zion Museum, we launched our new exhibition honoring President Manuel Quezon of the Philippines, who saved 1,300 Jews during the Holocaust.
The event was attended by Mr. Daniel Voiczek, CEO of the Friends of Zion Museum, a delegation from the Philippines led by the Carandang family – who received our new Hineni Award – Ambassador Aileen Mendiola, former Ambassador Ilan Fluss, and representatives of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event included speeches by Mr. Dany Weissler, Mr. George Lowenstein, and Arch. Roy Carandang, with members of the Filipino community in Israel also joining this meaningful occasion.
It was an honor to host this event and to celebrate the lasting bond between the Jewish and Filipino people.
